To Hike or Not
to Hike?
Sugar Bowl Resort is a beautiful location. Feel free to drive
up and enjoy the views from the lodge, or, get out and get moving!
There will be three well-marked hiking options. The easiest
option will be a 3 mile loop within the Sugar Bowl resort
area. The intermediate hike will be an out and back hike
of approx 5 miles, and the challenging hike can be up to
11.5 miles long out towards Mt. Anderson Peak. Both the
intermediate and the challenging hikes are along the beautiful
Pacific Crest Trail with lots of fresh air and breathtaking
views. If you think you are up for the full challenge to Mt.
Anderson you will need to leave early as it is a longer trek
and we are to return back to the lodge by 1:00 p.m.
Consider:
Think about staying overnight at Soda Springs, Serene Lakes, Donner
Lake, or Truckee.
